Katie + Chris’ Wedding
We met with Katie and Chris last night to show them their wedding images. These two are really a sweet couple and so much fun! We are so glad these two chose us as their photographers! Chris and Katie’s wedding and reception were absolutely gorgeous and there were so many amazing details! They even had a cigar bar!!! How cool is that!? Their venue, Mint Springs Farm, was absolutely perfect in every way. If you haven’t had heard of it and you are getting married you definitely should view the slideshow below and then call them immediately to see if your date is available! Katie and Chris, thank you and congratulations! We have really enjoyed following you on your journey to Mr. & Mrs. since last summer! We pray God will bless your marriage and we thank you both for your love and service to our country! Good luck Chris as you go off to bootcamp on Monday morning! Seriously… Call me for your photos in the future! I know you will be moving around with the military, but remember we do travel!!! 🙂 We really hope to see your faces again soon! You both are just so sweet! Congratulations again!
How did you first meet and what were your first thoughts/impressions of each other? Who, what, when, where, and why? Give me the details! 🙂
Katie: We met during our Freshman year Spring Break down in Panama City Beach, Florida through mutual friends; one of his wrestling buddies was dating one of my sorority sisters. At first, I wasn’t into Chris, but he was persistent! 😉
Chris: We met on spring break in PCB, Fl. She was not interested in me at all but I changed that.
Tell me about your first date!
Katie: Our first official first date was in Chattanooga at the City Cafe. I paid for dinner because I felt so bad that he drove two hours to go on a date!
Chris: Our first date was at City Cafe diner in Chattanooga. I drove 2 hours to see her and she PAID!
When did you first know he/she was the one?
Katie: We mutually felt that each other was “the one” about two weeks after we met. I didn’t tell anyone because I thought everyone would think I was CRAZY. And I was. I remember telling myself “I can see me shopping for bathroom towels with him one day.”
Chris: I knew she was the one 2 days after meeting her. It wasn’t love at first site but pretty close.
Tell me all about the proposal!
Katie: Chris proposed to me on May 19th. I had worked for 18 hours the day before, so I was EXHAUSTED on the 19th. This ended up working in my favor, because I was completely clueless as to what was going on! If I had not been so tired, I probably would have been able to put two and two together that he was going to propose to me that day. 😉
Chris: I spent seven months planning for the proposal. I sent her on a scavenger hunt that would eventually lead to me where I proposed on top of an overlook.
What is the one thing you love most about each other?
Katie: What I love the most about Chris is that he works hard for what he wants, which applies to several aspects of his life.
Chris: There isn’t one thing I love about Katie. I love everything about her.
What is something silly or quirky the other person does that is normally annoying or crazy, but makes you love them a bit more each time… Or you know you love them because when they do it, you don’t kill them! 🙂
Katie: I know I love Chris because when he gives the dog more attention than me, I don’t kill him.
Chris: Katie makes plans to make a plan. It’s ridiculous but I love it about her.
Besides getting married what is the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
Katie: Being with all our friends and family that have come across the state, country, and world!
Chris: The honeymoon….duh
